Through coaching you can help your team move towards something that matters to them. Make your next coaching conversation most effective by making sure it’s valuable, connected, clear, and actionable.

Value: Increase the value of your coaching by planning ahead of time and bringing ideas and support to the discussion. Use questions during your conversation. 

Connect: By understanding someone’s goals and what they care about, your coaching conversation can connect to the direction they want to move in. 

Clarity: Use questions to create clarity before leaving a coaching conversation.

Action: The person you’re coaching should walk away from the conversation with a plan. You might ask, “What are you going to do next with this information?”
